Every year, 4.7 million pizzas cross the counters of our 45 dieci branches. To ensure that our pizzaiolos can take care of the orders without any issues, dieci Natura works away in the background to keep all the branches properly supplied. Previously, this was done from the logistics centre in Jona. After outgrowing this site, dieci Natura relocated to Reichenburg in October 2021.
More space for new goals
A range of factors came into play during the search for a suitable new logistics centre. The Reichenburg site is both close to the dieci headquarters in Rapperswil and also ideally situated in terms of transport connections for supplying the 45 branches. The increased warehouse space is the prerequisite for meeting dieci’s goal of covering all regions of Switzerland in the future and perhaps even nearby foreign countries with pizza courier branches in the future.
Concentrated Italianità under one roof
Spread across 1,100m2 of floor space, all the key ingredients for a good pizza await in Reichenburg – ingredients such as peeled tomatoes and mozzarella, together with products such as San Daniele prosciutto – as well as palletised towers of pizza boxes and work clothing waiting to make the journey to one of the dieci branches. A total of nine employees at dieci Natura in Reichenburg oversee a plethora of organisational tasks, which include designing the product range, the centralised purchasing of goods and quality control, thereby supporting the branches in their work.
Freshness is the dieci hallmark
Virtually every ingredient in a dieci pizza comes from the logistics centre, though there are certain exceptions. These include the dieci farina speciale which, due to its weight, is delivered directly to the individual branches by our flour supplier – as are the soft drinks and beers. All the fresh ingredients such as salads and other vegetables are also delivered directly to the branches daily by our supplier partners. This is because fresh ingredients are crucial for that special dieci flavour – this is the only way to ensure the best possible quality.
