dieci serves up three new dishes
If you sometimes want a bit more variety from your favourite pizza, you can now look forward to even more Italianità a casa.
At dieci, we now have three new options ready for delivery – a new pasta dish, a vegetarian dish and the new Salsiccia Bianca pizza. Want to try them? Read on to find out more about the new dishes in the dieci range.
Parmigiana di Melanzane
The classic Italian baked dish with grilled aubergines, Parmesan, mozzarella and tomato sauce is served lukewarm or at room temperature. This makes it the ideal dish for warmer days. The vegetable gratin has its origins in the kitchens of Naples and Sicily – it really is 100% traditional Italian cuisine. The aubergines and tomato sauce mix wonderfully with the two cheese varieties, so you don’t need to eat pasta with it. This makes it a great gluten-free alternative.
Orecchiette al ragù
This dish combines two Italian specialities. Orecchiette is a hat-shaped durum wheat semolina pasta from Apulia, and it is the symbol of the city of Bari. Ragu is something that we typically call a Bolognese in English. As the name suggests, it comes from Bologna. The original recipe was recorded by the Accademia Italiana della Cucina at the Bologna chamber of commerce in 1982, and is now famous across the globe. This popular dish is now finally available at dieci.
Pizza Salsiccia Bianca
This pizza will probably be familiar to real dieci fans. The Pizza Salsiccia Bianca is not completely new to dieci, but the recipe and toppings have been changed slightly to make it even more delicious. The pizza without a tomato sauce is topped with mozzarella, salsiccia, rapini, ricotta, organic oregano and fresh peperoncini. And what flavours can dieci fans expect from this pizza? Rapini is an Italian turnip variety grown for the shoots and leaves. It adds fantastic flavour and freshness, while the peperoncini add bit of spice – just the way we like it.
